Technology

Dear Future Technologists,

Technology, more than ever, is part of the fabric of our daily lives. With a surge in innovation, technology related careers have broken down many of the traditional walls associated with the computer and tech industry. As a sponsor of the Tech on the Eastside event, Creed knows that the future of technology lies within the talents of those entering the field today and we hope to encourage young people to explore careers in what has become a thriving and crucial industry in our world.

The path towards a career in technology can be overwhelming and there isn’t always a straight path like you may find in other and more traditional careers. Yet, we have found there are many tools, resources, and words of advice that can help you find your place and passion. The team at Creed knows this first-hand and hopes to share some of what we have learned to inspire and help others discover their way.

Useful Resources

There are many useful tools and resources to gain more knowledge and an introduction into programming and other areas of technology. Most of these sites have free introductory offerings and can be upgraded to subscriptions or memberships for more advanced features.  Creed is not affiliated with any of these services, but has team members who have used them at various times in our careers.

Coursera is a great way to learn about the many different areas in technology that ranging from traditional programming and internet of things to artificial intelligence.

This site is filled with programming tutorials and lessons.

You’ll also find great programming tutorials and lessons here as well.

This is a great place to check out snippets of code.

Stackoverflow is a great resource once you get into programming, but it also has a finger on the pulse when it comes to trends.

A few Words of Wisdom from the Creed Team:
